The Scenario

We were introduced by an existing client to assist one of their debtors who had spoken to another broker a few months ago, but had struggled to revert with any meaningful options.

  • Drilled down into some of the challenging export clients to ascertain the correct trading entity in the relevent jurisdictions.
  • Appealed with the risk team after we receied some partial responses
  • Asked the client to provide documents to assist in verifying clients in some of the more challenging markets.

The Result

Great Levels of Cover

Joel Bick at Atradius was able to deliver a great level of cover across the board, including some African risks which were previously deemed uninsurable by the client.

A Manageable Price for a Premium Product

At circa 0.2% of the clients turnover, they can easily pass this cost on to their clients. This allows them to increase trade safely, knowing that the risk has been mitigated by Atradius. They can also explore new export markets with the backing of a large global insurer.

Conclusion

Our new client was over the moon that we could find something suitable from the market, when the prior broker had struggled a few months ago. The client who referred us, even called us to say thank you, as their client had expressed to them how professional and thorough we were, in comparison to thier original enquiry.
